Just for explanation, when PAX finish is lower than raw time finish it means the driver did better with the PAX handicap and moved up in the standings vs other drivers in other classes. When PAX and raw time finish are equal then the driver has done about right for the class.

For most Stock and Street Touring classes it's pretty good if you can get 20th overall PAX or better in any event.

Sorry, the only Fly and drive I would be interested in for Hawaii is at-


The Pacific Missile Range Base on the west edge of Kauai.

We are trying to hold an SCCA autocross event there next year. As you can see it's an excellent site. To make the trip worth shipping our cars we may combine it as a two day event with an Evolution driving school on the first day.

Charlie, that's a trip worth making. Stay tuned for the dates.
It's not a done deal... yet. But I am hopeful.

Coming up on Aug 27, 2014 is the SCCA Autocross test and tune event at Aloha Stadium lower parking lot.

It's a non competition day so plenty of available instruction and seat time.

A good day to come out and give autocross a try or just learn car control.

Each driver works one heat and drives in two heats. You can ride along or rest in the other heat. Total of four heats for the day and possible fun runs at the end if time permits.

Instructors available all day long. Bring closed shoes and Snell rated helmet if you have one (M2000 or later).

Fee: $40 (no refunds), $15 – additional fee for non-SCCA members
Event limited to 50 drivers.
Drivers will get two 4 run heats (8 runs total) and each driver must work one heat (about 1 hour). Run/Work assignments will be posted by Friday, 7/25/14.
Instructors should be available upon request
Tentative schedule:
0630 – 0800 Setup
0700 – 0800 Check-in & tech inspection
0830 – 0900 Track open for walking
0900 – 0915 Driver’s meeting
0930 – 1215 Morning runs
1215 – 1300 Lunch (bring your own, shorter if needed)
1300 – 1545 Afternoon runs
1545 – 1615 Fun Runs (if time allows)
1615 – 1645 Cleanup

If you can save the MLK weekend in January 2015 we will be having an Evolution Driving School with mainland instructors, it's an excellent performance driving program.

 

The test and tune event was very fun, good weather, got some runs in and removed some of the rust from being idle all summer.

If you are interested in driving in Event 1, it will be this sunday.
