anyone interested in the black aero grills? i have the top and bottom -- they're still brand new, unopened, never used. i bought them but have decided not to put them on my mcs anymore...

Since you're not doing things to your MCS, does that mean you're getting rid of it? Getting an STI?

hmm, let's just say that i pray 10x/day that the MINI gods will magically turn my MPS (mini pooper s) into a new 2004 or stuff my wallet with the money i used to purchase it

I hear ya t! I feel the same way. My mom's MINI Pooper CVT (Crappy Variable Transmission) is in the shop again and I was told they cannot get rid of the stumble/shudder when the car comes to a stop. It got so bad that my mom refuses to drive that car again. I mean she's a 73 year old lady who's afraid to drive the car. If I took that to the tv stations, that would be really bad PR for MINI. I'd hate to do that or possible file a Lemon law complaint. However, this problem car is costing me sooo much money! Since mom refuses to drive the MINI Pooper, she has my 328ic. Before that, the car was in the shop soo long trying to diagnose an electrical fault. They had no loaner so mom drove her old Benz, but that went into the shop for repair! She won't drive my 750il since it's too big. So what did I do? I traded in my MCS for a Dinan 540i. She was okay with the car until she was told the car was souped up. Then it was a no go! Luckily, she got the MINI Pooper bag the next day.

 

hi from one MINI Pooper owner to another. funny you thought about the tv stations, my mom is adamant about calling KHON-2's Action Line. you know, i believe that there is a local tv evening news anchor that owns a MINI -- not sure how the MINI experience is going for her.

I believe Diane Ako and Gary Sprinkle drive MINIs. I know gary has a DS/W MCS. Not sure about Diane Ako's. Yes, Channel 2 would definitely get the news out!

Beastmaster -- any news or updates on your mom's CVT situation?

 

It's supposed to be looked at by MINI rep from the mainland in January. However, after Andy's post, I'm not optimistic.
