I'm a displaced local living in Atlanta, Ga. I just got back from Oahu, went home to a 2 week vacation. I was amazed to see so many Mini's on the road. it the best car for Island's. I 'm looking for a "Mini of Hawaii" License plate holder for my 2004 Cooper S., so I can boast where I am from. I just need one. Anyone has a spare one that is willing to let it go?

Mine had Nevada plates and Hendersen frames on it when I got it. I fully expected to get a Mini of Hawaii fram when my Hawaii plates came in. They said if I wanted one I could buy it in the parts dept. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay to advertise for somebody.

MINI of Hawaii doesn't sell used MINIs. BMW of Honolulu does. I'm surprised it didn't have BMW of Honolulu frames!

Actually I bought my used Mini from Mini of Hawaii. Lately I've been seeing quite a few used Mini's on the front line on the Mini side. Theres even had Mini of Hawaii frames. Mine didn't because it hadn't even been sent through their so called prep.

You may have had a MINI salesperson but the car was owned by BMW - not MoH. Two companies, separate but under the same umbrella.Originally Posted by 808Chaney

The used MINIs with the MoH license frames would have had those frames from the day they were originally sold. If BMW didn't replace an out of state dealership frame why would they change a MoH frame?

The frame could have been taken off by the original owner as a souvenir.Originally Posted by MotorMouth

So funny to read this since most people spend considerable effort to make sure there are no dealer logos on their MINIs when they get them :D. I have 3 Global MINI plate holders in my garage.

ey Kaneguy, Kaneohe is also my wife's hometown and also grad from Castle (78')!
I actually lived in Aliamanu area back in the day but we met and married here in Northern Ca. -I was still at Pearl Harbor Kai, still watching Checkers and Pogo ~ 71'
We've been chasing the buck w/ tech employers in the SF bay area for the past few decades but will eventually move back to have daily views of the beautiful Ko`olaus -the license plate is our way of "speaking it into existence!

No problem
Aka was a MINI of HI salesman 10 years ago when MINI just started over on Oahu then he moved to TX for a few years and returned to work in Kona BMW
Mention to him you were referred from NAM or you can email him early to get the plate holder ready. Otherwise you can get it mailed to you

It's funny, my friend who frequents Hawaii, had a Mini vert and took the plate frame and gave it to me, I think I wrapped it and it's still on my stock front bumper. I can call home (SoCal, as I'm staying in NorCal), and see if it's there. If you still need it then maybe I can help you out. Originally Posted by minihune
