MINI club news
Cruise and dinner April 5th.
We are planning a Saturday Afternoon cruise followed by dinner on April 5, 2014. Jan B. and his wife will be joining us on this cruise. We will meet up at Mini of Hawaii at 2 p.m. and will discuss the route at that time. We plan on ending with dinner at Kona Brewing Company in Hawaii Kai. Please RSVP by April 2, 2014 so we can let the restaurant know how many to expect.
Tuning session planned for April 4, 2014
Jan B. is coming for a tuning session in April. See the attached file for more info. It will start on Friday, April 4th at 1 p.m. We need a good count of who will show up, so we can schedule ahead of time for the dyno. We are sorry for the last minute notice, but we just received word that Jan is coming and lined up a dyno location. Don't wait until the last minute and be shut out of this great opportunity to have your MINI tuned by an expert.

Sportscar club of America Hawaii region is sponsoring the Evolution Driving School at Aloha Stadium lower parking lot on January 17-19th, 2015.
The first day is Phase 1 and is now sold out but there is a waiting list. Only 30 students are allowed per event to allow for lots of driving time. It's a very full day as is. You do not need a special car, your MINI on street tires will work fine. No cars with high center of gravity will be allowed. No spectators, this is a closed event.
The second day (sunday) is Phase 2 and has a few spots left at $250/driver. Normally you would want to have completed Phase 1 before doing Phase 2 as the skills learned in one class are needed for the next level class.
The third day Monday (MLK day) is an open Test and tune with instructors from the Evo School available to ride along or help with advice. It is limited to 30 drivers and there are a few spots left at $135/driver. You can have up to 2 drivers per car and you need closed shoes and a Snell Rated M2000 or later helmet, loaner helmets are available. No autocross or track driving experience needed, we'll teach you.
Post here if you are interested or look in the Hawaii forum for more info.

OK, so there were a few MINI enthusiasts at the Cars and Coffee at the dealership on Saturday. Thanks to all who came out. They were planning a drive up tantalus after the meeting.
Please post your suggestions for the MINI club as to what you would like to see more of.

Next events-
British Car Day, May 24.
The annual British Car Day is set for May 24 at Kapiolani Park. Any British car can enter.
Call Brett at 521-1929 for an update and information.
Cars and Coffee will be at the British Car Day I am told, 9-11am. Not sure where they will be parking since the British Car show uses most of the corner parking lot across from the Zoo.

7:30 AM
Meet at:
Moanalua Shopping Center
930 Valkenburgh St, Honolulu, HI 96818, Honolulu, HI

We will leave the meeting point at 8:30 to do an early run over the Pali with an obligatory stop at the lookout for photos, then have breakfast in Kailua.
