I'm wondering if anyone uses other brake pads than Brembo pads , like EBC?

 

I have used Pagid, Carbotech, various compounds

Both worked well.
Front pads are the same as the E87 135, so there are a lot of choices out there, to suit various applications

 

EBC reds I have used. Hawk HPS/Plus also. The brembo stock pads are good but dusty. I done track days with the GP2 BBK upgrade on my R58 JCW and the fade was not that bad. But if you push it you can feel a little bit of it over time.

Some people when they track tend to ride the brakes and cook the seals on the GP2 pistons. Nice thing is the MINI on long tracks, you dont need the ride the brakes as the stopping is there.

Yep shares the same as the 135i w/ factory BBKs

 

I run EBC Reds. I’ve not tracked the car but they are very good street pads for aggressive driving.

 

Thanks, ive been running EBC Reds on my R53 and like them as well. I am just wondering for what people are using on their GPs.
