Badge placement help

Hi GP Friends,

You may have seen my previous post about nearing completion on a full GP treatment on my JCW Coupe. I'm hoping someone with some free time and a tape measure can help me out.

I need to place the GP badge on the dash panel, and another on the hood scoop. I'm hoping someone with a GP2 can take some photos of a measuring tape on two sides (top edge and side edge) so I can see how far away from the edges of the top and sides of the hood scoop and dash panel the logos need to go. It's a little hard because the surfaces aren't flat - lots of curves.

I can look at photos online but eyeballing it isn't as accurate as a measurement and likelihood of misplacement is high.

If you've got time and could help a fellow motorer out, I'd be most grateful. The dealership doesn't seem to have a template for placement so I don't know how they would replace one of these decals if needed. I'm a stickler for details so I'd like to get as precise a placement as possible (measure twice, stick once!)

Thanks,

Kurt

Bump.

Dealership still hasn’t found a template. I’m dying to install these decals.

I know it’s a hassle to grab a measuring tape and take a few photos, but think of it this way:

1. It can get you outside and give you something to do.
2. It helps you learn something new you didn’t know about your MINI
3. If any GP owners end up with a rock hitting their hood scoop or a kid pulls off the dash badge, and they need to replace either of these, the measurement information may be helpful for other people to get their decals installed in the proper place.

:-)

Thanks!
