GP Hood Scoop Sticker

So I just ordered a new GP logo sticker...the black one that goes in the hoodscoop, as mine was quite faded and waterspotted.

Has anyone replaced theirs? Just looking for some tips on how to go about doing it...I'm certain I will screw it up somehow. Will the old one just peel off?

I to am interested in hearing about how to replace the sticker.
My sticker is also spotted and I have tried many things to remove the spots with no luck. The spots seem to be under the clear surface of the sticker, such as a defect in the sticker material.

I just did this on my newly acquired GP. Ordered the stickers through my MINI dealership and had a friend of mine do it. He does auto graphics for a living. It took him 15 minutes. Heated up the old ones and they peeled right off. Cleaned up the remaining adhesive and applied the new ones. He used water to get them in place and a small plastic piece to get the bubbles out. It was easy. I think I could do it after watching a pro do it. It looks really nice. Go for it.

Yeah I've had a professional detailer try to get it back to life but its just too spotted and faded.

It should be in tomorrow...I guess i'll attempt it myself

I just did it this past weekend. Just use a soapy water solution to position the vinyl stickers and then a rubber squegee tool. Once I got it lined up, I used a heat gun on the low setting to set the sticker and shrink it a tad to form along the curvature. Looks professional to me lol. I'm waiting for my M7 Scoop to come in so I can have it painted Chili red to match the mirrors. Also planning on painting the faux brake ducts Chilired to accent the front a bit more. Sorta like the new GP!

Once the new scoop is done, I have a black GP scoop factory replacement sticker waiting to finish it off.
