GP2 + BBS LMs?

Hi All,

I'm a noob here, with a GP2 in route.

I've done a ton of reading on the wheel fitment issues, due to the brake setups on these cars.

I've only seen pics of one vehicle fitted with BBS LMs, and I think the look is fantastic.

Does anyone here have any first hand experience with this combo, size, offset, spacers required, etc?

Thanks in advance. Pics for reference..

Nice,

Here are the BBS we carry, https://www.ecstuning.com/b-bbs-part...n_cooper_work/

BBS does some special one off sizes for customers. Most are ET38-et40. But to fit around the BBKs it might have had spacers or a different offset I can give them a call as we work with them direct and see if they have info on that GP2.

I'd be particularly curious about the LMs. I think that RFP1 could be a really solid choice for less money too.

My absolute favorite wheels!!! The longer my R55 sticks around, the more likely i’ll pony up for a set of these beauties but there are WAY better places to spend $$$ at the moment

Currently have them on my GP2. I believe you need at least 8mm of additional clearance for the face of the BBS LM to clear the front brake calipers. Rears need no spacers, but recommended as without them it would not look right. I currently have the stock tire size 215/40R17 and 15mm spacers on each corner. I have a little bit of rubbing during suspension compression after dips on bridges, thinking I need to drop to 12mm spacers for each corner as 10mm spacers are not a thing. I am also looking to upgrade to Michelin tires in a 215/45R17 but I'm a bit bothered that my speedometer is 5MPH off from stock, new tire size would only increase the difference from the correct speed value.

Anyway, here are some images.

Update, I received my 8mm spacers from MotorSport Hardware this week and installed them on the GP2 today. They clear on the front with BBS LM's fitted. Picture below shows 12mm clearance with 15mm installed, so a 5mm spacer could work but I didn't want to risk hitting the calipers and just went with 8mm. Hope this helps anyone considering getting these amazing wheels.

BBS LMs on r57

Hi bro,

I would like to know if you have any knowledge of anyone else putting LMs on their r56/57s with the AP5000 calipers (CP9440). I’m planning to get them and I’m worried I can’t clear them. Also, what’s your front camber specs after using the LMs?

I'm unsure of others who have put LMs on their GP. As far as I know, I'm running just the standard alignment specs on my GP, at stock ride height. However, I am not the original owner so I cannot say the suspension settings have gone without modification prior to my ownership. I have had suspension components replaced, requiring an alignment post-replacement, which is why I believe it's just the factory alignment specifications.
