new gp2 owner questions
Hi everyone, I just brought a GP2 yesterday, I have few question about this car.
1. How do you find the production number of your gp2?
2. Is all the GP2 suspension are super stiff? mine came with modification and I dont think my suspension are stock. What's the spec of GP2 suspension?
3. Does GP2 have a LSD?
4. Does all the GP2 "vibrate" when you step on the gas on 2nd gear?

You have to email MINI to get the production number.
The GP2 comes factory with coilovers and is pretty stiff compared to a stock MINI.
Yes the GP2 has the factory MINI ediff LSD system.
No it shouldn't vibrate when you accelerate.

thanks for the quick response, because for some reason the GP label in the dash saids 1/2000, im sure this wont be the first one. I have many experience in roadcourse, and i have a race nsx, this mini feels stiffer than my nsx with kw clubsport custom 16kg front and rear, everytime when its goes through a little pump on the freeway my body leave the seat for a second. Would you be able to know what spec the stock GP suspenison are?

Have a look at the springs on your car. The stock ones are H&R, yellow in colour, and have the spring rate written on (70Nmm)
Compared to my '05 Cooper S with Koni yellow adjustable shocks (set soft), I found that the GP2 suspension is firmer yet smoother. It is more solid feeling but less jarring if that makes any sense.
