I couldn't find the thread regarding the items on the window sticker that were absent from our cars, so I thought I would post a new one to ask for an update. I got the "replacement" sticker from mini, and I heard that they were offering a $250 payoff. Are there any more recent developments? I'm happy with the car but the 4-speaker system is pretty inadequate IMHO.

 

You are correct that a 4 speaker stereo is not exactly up to the standards these days. BUT, the reason you only have 4 crappy little speakers is because MINI built this car as a track car for the street, and kept all unnecessary items out. This is why you don't have a rear wiper, or HID headlights, or a backseat, or sound deadening in the rear, or fog lights, or ....... You bought a special edition car that was stripped down for the sake of being a quicker, faster, more agile beast... You lose very little and gain a lot with the GP.

I agree with everything Drew says, but my point is that the published specs and the window sticker said otherwise. I was just curious about whether MINI NA was offering anything besides the $250 credit?

For the non GP informed: The sticker says that there is a 4-speaker radio in the car and it only has 2. I had no idea about the $250 though...

 

Huh?? It has four...two in each door.

 

I was informed at the time of purchase that it was a typo..and was sent the replacement window sticker.....

 

Not a single vehicle in the country was to be retailed before the new window stickers arrived. We got the bulletin from MINIUSA before we even had the cars. We had to hold the cars back from being delivered until we recieved the new stickers.

Your dealer should provide you with $250 bucks not MINIUSA. The dealer didn't follow the rules.

And as far as missrepresenting the product... it was in all of the literature, at least that i read , that the car would only have a 4 speaker stereo due o weight savings...
