AUX input and Shelf

GP1429 here guys (still love saying that)

I was wondering if anyone had any information on the install and where to obtain parts to add an aux on the GP (basically to play the iPod). also I keep hearing about this "euro shelf" what is that? and what does it look like? any pictures of people that have already done this install would be VERY VERY appreciated . Thanks guys

Peace

hondori, gp1274 came with an AUX jack in the glove box. It did not work, but the dealer corrected that issue.

Parcel shelf

Part number / German name for it

51161186417 - Ablegefach (I kid you not -- "pigeon hole")
51167057375 - Einlegematt (insert matt)
51457072009 - Blind plate

From RealOEM.com:

And it looks like this in my car (I'm missing the blind plate)

Word on the street is that this is either hard or impossible to find in America (not so in Germany), that Mini USA / BMW USA have stopped carrying the parts.

Oh, and you'll need a few nuts, bolts, and torx screws.

It's good for hiding things like iPods that you don't want to be seen from outside your car. It's also good for stashing things like, say, jars of marinated olives that you want to completely forget about for weeks at a time (they're not very visible from inside the car, either).
