GP 1336 makes break-in!

Thanks to IFLYMINI - I carried a camera to capture the moment of my official Break-in.

I was doing a canyon run at the time... which btw was also nearly 12:50 - so I waited to take the picture... good times...(I've got the week off and I'm just playing around all week)

Let me say that this car is just getting better every time I turn the key!

It is great once in the higher rpm - the car sings a special song! I turned around right after I took that pic at the end of this canyon and did it again but this time getting into it - I took a short video too - I'll need to post it up somewhere to share - too much fun!

Do you think its a good idea to drop the oil and start fresh - the service guys say leave it till the odo tell me to go (like in 8k!) I'm just use to changing the oil sooner than that... especially after initial break-in
Thoughts?

Change at 3k is what I am going to do. And it's going to be Mobil 1. Going to do it myself too.

Cant wait to hear the song Doc is gonna sing to me. Maybe it will be one of dem songs from the Wild West.

Cant wait to get my plates too..... Oooooooo

I love the "roar" the car makes when you ask it to accelerate hard - don't remember hearing anything like it in GBMINI#2 (JCW-210 upgraded) ... the GP is just a wonderful car

I've always done a "half way" oil change on my MINIs ... for GPMINI I had the oil changed when I got back from MTTS, at about 5000 miles.

PS: CONGRATULATIONS on getting through break-in!

I'm always up for a run! (today the weather has turned to crap unfortunately)... so today I might just go walk around at the SD auto show.
hit me up tomorrow - I'll probably be down.... I've got some really good routes we can make - I'll PM with details as I don't like to broadcast my roads - I like them to myself..ha-ha.

Some pics from yesterdays break-in run on the Mt:

Sounds good - roads might be a little messy after today's winds and rain - but we can definately do something. (I'll pm you guys with my details)

The Carrera was just that - a dream.. not practical - maybe in a few years I'll pull a Cayman - but the Mini GP was just a perfect fit for me.... and came just at the right time.

No answer on your PM's guys - I'm going to go on a short run myself I guess - the roads seem to be fairly clean and have dried nicely. Hit my on my cell if you can tag along.

See ya.
