More Coming

I forgot to add this to my first thread.

Since I have been scouring the country looking for GP's at MSRP, I have been told by several dealers that tomorrow(Friday) MiniUSA will be releasing an additional 13 or 14 cars that had been held as a contingency reserve. They are going to either the large volume dealers or the top customer satisfaction dealers. Since I couldn't be certain that my dealer would get lucky, I decided that "a bird in hand is worth two in the bush".

For those interested, you may want to check this out with your local MA.

Cheers and Merry XMAS!

Hmmm not sure where they got this info. My dealer is one of the top CSI dealers on the west coast and no info from MINI here... Hmmm...

Three independent Dealers told me the same thing:

M of Westchester NY
M of Charlotte NC
M of Pittsburg PA

Now they could all be burning mushrooms in a tent, giggling like idiots and creating hallucinatory stories....or not.

Guess we will, find out one way or the other.

Cheers

Talk to Chad Simkins at Midwestern Mini if you are interested in one. Great guy, sold me my GP in mid October at MSRP well before others were willing to talk about MSRP.

My GP from MINI of Peabody was always at MSRP, no question - way back in April 2006

As of last Saturday, MINI of Sterling had one sitting in their showroom. They are one of the "honest policy" dealerships, so they are only charging MSRP.

I spoke with their sales manager, Mike Arata, about the pricing... he said that he figured he could make some extra money by increasing the price, but that the loss of goodwill in the MINI community would not be worth it.

Rare to hear that from a care dealership, huh? MINI of Sterling has a strict "never over MSRP" policy, and they've held to that... even for all of their GPs!

Too bad the same can't be said for a certain other DC Metro area dealership...
