JCW Leather Down Tubes in GP

I just received and installed a pair of JCW leather down tubes with red stitching in my GP. I am pleasantly surprised at how much this simple change enhances the interior aura.

Since the newer down tubes have the flanged bottom, it was (for me) a real PITA to get the center console completely undone, but patience persevered and (with several postings on NAM with instruction text and pics) I was able to safely do it all by myself (and I'm not the most "handyman" person around).

The leather of these down tubes matches the leather on the GP seats, but that does mean there is a bit of contrast to the glove box door and dash, since I have not upgraded that to JCW leather (nice as that might be, I'd rather spend that money first on other things for the GP ... maybe, down the road, who knows).

They look nice - I'm jealous of the mats though - I'm still waiting for mine...

Not bad.

I'll tell ya what I'd really wish for.

Alacantra JCW steering wheel with ... red stitching to match seats, mats, and shifter boot.

They really should have thought of that...

I like the idea of red stiching on the JCW wheel! If only it was easy to do!
