Look at how few GP's... cool data from Mini USA (I took this from a post on GPMINI.NET) looks like there are a few left for sale out there since only 356 are officially on the books.
MINI USA "used" 5-10 GPs during MTTS; I'd expect them to not be sold for a while - but I expected the sales figures I posted to be closer to 400 than 350. We'll see what the figures out early Jan tell us ...

Hi GB - I have to thank you - your site is a great source for GP owners around the World... great work!
Hey, I just realized something. Next to the GP, a Cooper Convertible (Non-S) is the second rarest Mini. Yeah!!! Can anyone say collectors item?
It's always fun trying to guess what rare models/options will be valuable later. For a while, Mopar offered a psychedelic paisley vinyl roof as an option, called the "Mod Top". They didn't sell very many, and that particular option doesn't command much of a premium on the collectible market today, because most people think it looks pretty horrid.
But on the other hand, Plymouth made less than a dozen 1971 convertible Hemicudas because no one wanted the most-powerful engine in the heavy convertible body. Now those cars sell for $2 million plus. You never know.
