Hello Everyone, I'm suppose to take delivery of my GP sometime next week from Global Imports in Atlanta. I was put on a waiting list like everyone else several months ago. At the time they were getting 10 GP's and I was number 12 on the list, so I thought I would just roll the dice. The salesman told me that there would be no markup on the car and it would sale at 31,150. Well I get a phone call a couple of days ago, the saleman tells me that 8 out of the 10 people have taken delivery and the other 2 he wasn't sure about because they were going through different salesmen. So he says that there getting an extra GP but there going to be marking it up 2500.00 dollars and put it out on the showroom floor, but if I want it, it's mine. I would really like to get this car, but on the other hand I kinda feel like I'm getting ripped off. Would like to know what all of ya'll think.
Thanks
Here's an idea. Request that the dealer put you first on the list of buyers willing to pay MSRP. I have a feeling these guys are going to be sitting on them and will eventually have to bring their price back down. It's up to you as the consumer to force their hand.
MINI of the Hamptons posted this in Vendor Announcements. MSRP and available now. Let Torr (the sales manager at MoH) know that you heard about it on NAM. Good luck!
I would also recommend that you give Torr a call. He can be reached at 631-283-0888. Given it is a GP it won't last long. Also a plus is that Torr can have it delivered directly to your front door
