Gp 0095

Not recommended for GP's with
numbers higher than 0150.

Funny you should notice, I was not not watching the speedo but a GPS which
did read 95. The sticker just says that inspection 001 has been done. I
picked the car up in NJ and my dealer is in OH.

Odd, the speedo usually runs higher than GPS? next time get your GPS up to 98 . (And take a picture of your GP, from the back, with the boot open, i wanna see what the 'back seats' or lack there of look like

Are you sure it's not 93 miles? FYI, My car came with a scrap of paper signed by Mike Cooper that says for the first 1250 miles not to exceed
4500 rpm.

They should make the storage compartments instead of seats an option on all coopers

What is the function of that tab on the cross bar?

Apart from being annoying and looking ugly ...

It's something to do with attaching a child seat! Ludicrous - if I wanted kids I wouldn't have got a two seater car

Got mine removed - a tiny little hole (pointing down) - better than the stupid hook/tab.

The cup holder is gone...too, right before I drove off with GyPsy in NJ.

Marina,
Any chance of a clear picture of what's left when the hook is removed?

(and yes, my cupholder also came off back in Monterey!)

Has anybody come up with a reasonable use for that bar. It looks like what my parents used to put across the back of the station wagon to hang clothes on when they went on vacation.

I would have to think it could be used for a seat harness... if a second (identical) mount "tab" could be installed on the driver's side, then it would be a perfect rear mount for a harness!

An enterprising company could have come up with a great design for that, but with a worldwide market of only 2,000 owners, it might have been tough to turn a profit.

I will try to take picture of it and post it . Believe or not I did not take any pictures of GyPsy, yet. The ones on my gallery were courtesy of MINI Glenn

(and yes, my cupholder also came off back in Monterey!)
we should try to sell them on E-Bay ... "Orginal GP cup holders"

The bar is not good for the harness. I asked this question at the NJ delivery.. "the bar is not meant to attach harness" I was told " it's pretty much just for looks and rear stability"
Personaly I like the look of it just because is different.
