Does anyone know this car? Any information would be helpful. I am interested in a low mile GP like this. I am in California and would need to have it shipped, and thus cannot check it out as it is in Hawaii.

Any info? Anyone?

I was very close to purchasing this one, but I couldn't come together on price with the owner. It is one of the very low mileage GP's available and sounds like a solid car. The owner had it posted on NAM in Nov. and then couldn't get it sold, so he went to the consignment lot and there it sits. It has dropped a grand this last month. I would be more worried about it having such low miles and rarely driven more than I would a GP with mileage in the 15-30k range.

Shipping was also about a grand from port to port and it gets loaded in a container. The GP specs note the ground clearance lower than that allowed for a container, so there was that obstacle too.

When I was talking directly with the owner in February, there was another buyer from Texas who was supposed to buy it... that obviously didn't happen.

I would hop a plane to Honolulu before buying this one sight unseen unless there is a MINI dealer that you could negotiate a pre-buy inspection from the dealer.

Too many hoops to jump through for me, so I ended up with GP0491 from St. Louis.

They came with the GP.... And suck! Most people remove them. I did since they don't hold anything firmly and are open so they can't even be used to toss coin.

Social D- great response, thank you. I am newly interested in a GP, so rushing into a purchase thousands of miles away was always going to be a long shot. However, the low miles can be so tempting. But, I should probably spend more time learning the cars before be coming comfortable to purchase one.

Looking around a little more, I think I may be best served looking somewhere on the west coast and enjoying the search a little more. I'd like the cost to be closer to 20k anyway, and it seems nice cars with 30-40k miles are coming into that range.

Thanks again, the thoughtful reply was quite refreshing!

Search for GP1491. It fell off the radar and is in SoCal with like 17k miles. Sondes like another solid choice when I was looking in February.

Thanks for the recommendation Kevin . 1491 would be mine. Definitely fell off the radar a bit because I still love the car so much so I didn't push selling it hard. In fact, I pushed "so hard" that I recently purchased Hamann shift **** and brake levers for it .

If anyone is interested in the car though, we can certainly talk still. Feel free to contact me.

Hey Kevin, I posted the pics in my thread for 1491 so I'm not threadjacking here.
