GP brake question

I've read a bit of info on here regarding the stock GP brakes but i'd like to be sure on a few things before ordering parts.

The stock GP front brakes are stock R56 issue, so you can just use R56 spec disks & pads for the front correct?

The rear GP brakes are just stock R53 ?

Does anyone know what SS brake lines that work with the GP?

I'd appreciate any help as i just want to get things right the first time.

Thanks

The GP brakes are the same size as the R56.
I believe the GP uses a different pad compound than R56. However, you can use whatever pad compound works best for your driving.
The brake lines are the same "direct thread" lines as other later year MINIs. I think Mini changed the rear lines in 2003 or 2004.

There are many rotor and pad options available.
I suggest you talk to a company such as Way Motor Works to pick rotors and pads that will work best for your planned usage.
EBC, Carbotech, and Hawk are all propular pads.

Ordered the EBC red's and four new rotors today from WayMotorWorks.

I have used Ferodo 2500's before on my E30 which i loved, but couldn't find a full set for the GP.

Thanks for the info quik !

If you mean Goodridge lines the GP (same as R56) P/N is 31049.

Back when I had the JCW brakes--the "old" ones, the same ones that are on the GP and R56, I got SS lines from Todd at TCE for a very good price--give him a call, he'll make sure you get all the right parts.
