I think the red accent stripe on the 911 ties the wheel to the car-visually. If the Gp had such a stripe it might have the same effect of balancing the look, hard to say.

 

The wheels come with chrome center caps that I didn't like. Thus I resprayed them textured black to help accent the lug bolts etc. MC2 took some shots of the car today in front of the shop and I hope it will look even better in the magazine than here in a compressed photo file. In person I assure you it looks much better.

BTW: I have seen a GT3 in person in the green/black combo and it is stunning. The White on Red not so much! Just MY opinion though!

I think the car looks pretty good with the red wheels. I don't care for the GP with the black wheels posted in this thread. I like a car with black wheels, but it has to have a silver/chrome lip like the car below, which belonged to a friend of mine.

 

The black on black is sick! I love that. I need to find the photo of my old CLS500 that I did that on. Looked so kool!
