dont sweat the extra price of 91 it only makes about a 1.5-2. dollar diff per fill up. no big deal.
and your still hundreds a year ahead of the yukon!

In Australia we pay $1.56 AUS a litre ( $1.49 USD ). Doing some math it works out that I am paying $5.66 USD a gallon... god help us.

Averaging about $1.40/gallon for my home-made (ethanol) and about $3.00 for purchased (ethanol/e85).

It's great! Found a station yesterday not too far from my place that was $4.03/gal for 93-octane. Hopefully the trend continues.

Shell V-Power 93 @ $4.03 here in San Antonio too.

I was cleaning through receipts and found an old gas receipt (from 2004 if I recall correctly). Regular unleaded price: $1.53. Those were the days!

That's my concern... I call it the "Slingshot Effect" they bring the prices down a little bit then shoot them up past the previous high mark.

It would be nice if the downward trend continues, but these recent increases in gas, are not like the spikes in the past. China and India are now industrializing at such a quick rate that the demand for oil will continue to out-pace the supply.
Until alternative forms of energy provide relief, the price per barrel will continue to climb. In 2005 oil was $60/barrel, now it is $130/barrel and in 5 years it will be over $300/barrel, unless alternatives are implemented. Though the short term prices go up and down a little, the trend is only up. So how does $12/gallon of gas sound down the road a bit?

Ouch, so what is the conversion of $12/gallon?

Geez, I've got everyone except the fellow in Oz beat, it must be our gas taxes. I swear we need new elected officials in this state.

$4.04/gal for regular (87 octane)... at the cheap stations.

Regular (87) at the shell is $4.06/gal and v-power is $4.36/gal (91 octane).

I'm not trying to hurt anyones feelings, I'm just excited to find out that the local Sunoco station now sells 95octane for less than many other states are charging for 87octane.
Until recently the best I could do was 93octane but from now on they have my business as long as they don't get carried away with their prices on the 95octane.
As for the price check it out yourself in the picture I took less than 30 minutes ago.
