Well, I just finished reading the article and the results were as follows:
1. Mazdaspeed 3 GT
2. VW GTI
3. MINI Cooper S
4. Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V
5. Subaru WRX TR

Although I do not agree with the order, the MINI got 3rd because of low scores on: trunk space, rear seat space & rear seat comfort. I still would take my MINI anyday!!

Kind of like lower the score on a motorcycle because you have to sit outside.

wrx last place Im sure the sentra is worse? Bias IMO.

Mini should have been ahead of the gti

I'm surprised they didn't incluse the Volvo C30 in the comparison. It's not out to this summer but with 227hp it would have the test interesting.

Don't know how the new WRX will perform, but it looks like a cross between a Mazda 3 and a Hyundai Accent.
