MINI and Element

My wife brought this to my attention, from the Honda Element Owners Club forums! It's an oldie, but interesting.

Wow! I guess that there are a few of us who own both a MINI and an Element. They both have that unique thing going for them. My wife's element is pretty cool for a SUV... has come in pretty handy for camping, moving, and the baby seat fits much better than in the MCS! I don't buy the post that an Element outran a MINI though. I drive both regularly, and I just don't see it happening.

The funny thing is some guy in an Element actually thinks he beat a MINI..
Alot of MINI bashing on the thread though....
I've always thought that the Element was the first sign of the end of the world....(sorry but that is a butt fugly car)
First the Element and now the MINI with a french engine, MG's made in China....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (sorry I had to scream)
The world is ending my friends, do make preparations...

The Mini bashers were far outnumbered by the Mini supporters, however.

The guy in the Element was probably white knuckled, slammin it in low gear, squealing tires, & putting the pedal to the metal while the MINI guy was just driving away from a redlight unaware that there was a race going on.
I can just picture it in my head

probably suped-up element vs. MC on 87 octane gas. but does it really matter whose car is faster......if so than beware of Civic Si, boy can they zoom.

Nothing wrong with an Element, it's great vehicle for what it's designed to do. Racing isn't on that list though.

Some of the newer Elements with all the plastic cladding painted look pretty good. I do like the functional design elements of the car.

I think you're thinking of the Scion xB

Freaking Playskol car looks like something a first grader draws as a "car."
