What would you change about your MINI if you could?
I only have a few things.
- I would add some more lumbar support (or adjustable lumbar support) to the cloth seats.
- I know the throttle-by-wire is probably necessary, but I HATE it. I wish there was a different way.
- I would change the boot hatch "programming" so that I was not forbidden to open the boot 99% of the time.
- I'd add a little distance between the wiper/high beam staks and the wheel so that my long, gangly fingers did not accidentally trip over them while steering.
- I wish the toggle switches were actual toggle switches (i.e., they stayed where you left them). The whole "return to center" thing is basically a glorified pushbutton.
Anyone else?

Completely agree with the comment about the trunk. Who was the moron engineer who designed a trunk that you can't open unless you have the key and the car isn't running?
Fewer rattles. The amount of cheap plastic in these cars is staggering.
A solid interior cover for the sunroof. Anything to block the summer heat! Besides, sometimes it is nice to not HAVE to squint.
No first gear lag. I heard people complain about the lag in the 2002-2004, so I bought a new Mini S hoping to solve that problem. Nope. It is slightly better, but it still needs improving.
Power seats with memory. My wife and I take turns driving the car and it takes each of us several minutes to find a comfortable spot when driving.
Better cup holders. The small ones under the stereo are basically useless, while the big one on the side looks ridiculous and always gets in my way when I'm sitting in the passenger seat.
I'd add a SooperDooperCooperLaser that could obliterate away any hapless, supersizeme SUVs (as they all seem to be) wandering the roads.
Other than that, I'd really change nothing... maybe add a cooling package to the leather seat lumbar area; I always seem to end up with excessive warmth and/or sweat in that area.

You should market a sooperdoopercooperlaser!! That name alone would them sell like hotcakes!

I wish mine came w/ the 7 xtra horses that newer models come with.
What would I change about my MINI well first I would own one. So the reality is I would change my Civic into a MINI, or better yet open the garage one day and the MINI would already be there. (That would be a great 40th present - Man, 40 that's scary)
A single man is always looking for volunteers for this type of position, however, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say he's prolly looking for female volunteers. The mental image of a scantily clad male redhead in the passenger seat is bizarre to say the least.
My list.......
1) Better seats - it need something akin to race/rally seats the way this thing corners. Also they are a little narrow at the front. Now if I could find some seats like those on my wife's 325i with the electric adjustment, fantastic bolsters, slide-out leg things and oh-so-soft leather,.......
2) Stay-clean wheels with brake-dust-shed-o-matic feature.
3) A 'hanging' gas pedal rather than the traditional BMW hinged from the floor design.
4) mushroom proof front turrets.
Thats about it

Get back to me.
-Paint my archs Royal Grey, which might be my birthday present to my self next week
-I already have a scantily cad red head for my passenger seat! and they are just an expensive option to maintain!

The door lock/unlock toggle switch does. If your in the car just unlock the doors from the toggle bank and the trunk should be unlocked along with the passenger door and anything else that can be locked and unlocked. Well at least the front to doors and the trunk. Oh, and if you live in a place that pumps gas for you it'll unlock the gas cap as well.
Get back to me.
Get back to me.
