Now there's an image I didn't need! Anybody got a brain brush??
OK, I suppose I can understand if he's in YOUR mini! I don't need the additional weight...

I wish the seats didn't squeak the way they do when I go over the tiniest bump, but I'm sure that's just wear n tear. I wish I could fix the chips all over it and get a new windshield as it's starting to crack. THat stuff just needs money, it's doable though.

I wished I had ordered a spoiler and front fog lights. So I called up my MA today and had him change my order - luckily it hadn't even been placed yet.

I'd add a grab handle on the inside front post drivers side. My big ol' F150 has em and I guess I got used to grabbing it. I always reach there when getting into the mini.

Do you have your seats rolled all the way back? I found mine did this until I pulled it forward just one click.

I would appreciate full frame doors and more sound deadening. Road noise is the one issue with the MINI that really shows where cost-accounting won out over engineering. I don't need a whisper quiet interior, but MINI could do a much better job with interior noise levels, especially at highway speeds.

As far as ECONOBOXES go the MINI is a LOT quieter than the NEON/PT Cruiser's. I know the MINI is not in the same "class" so this is just an observation. [and I'm running up my post count so I can get out of 1st gear...]

It's taken me a while to think of something that I'm not a fan of on my new Clubman but I've got two things.

One (and maybe I don't understand everything about it) but the interface with the ipod isn't that easy. Trying to get through the artist/album listing is crazy.

Something with the doors need to be different. They are the ever-swinging doors that attempt to cut off our legs. My wife joked that the MINI is out to get her...

No, I'm pretty short so they're pulled up kind of far. It comes from the right side of the driver's seat.

I think I would add more power to it. And get rid of that annoying 1 second hesitation with the auto trans. Every other auto. car I had before this never did that. I still don't understand why it must be this way...OH WHY?!?!?

Yup, I've mentioned that twice now when I've been back to the dealer and they tell me they "haven't had many complaints about that" and don't know of any way to adjust it. If you've said something about it to them at DTM as well, now they know there are at least two of us with doors that won't stay open! If you come up with a fix for it, please let me know.

Asked about this same throttle delay within days of taking delivery and the tech. said he didn't understand what I was talking about. Further investigation on my part revealed that it's a BMW thing called "drive by wire" where the accelerator is connected to a computer rather than directly to input from your foot, thus causing the delay/hesitation. Regardless of the reason, I hate it because it doesn't allow you to accelerate smoothly sometimes.

Both of these issues made me feel really dumb/picky. Why can't MINI just acknowledge these little quirks/shortcomings rather than denying that they exist. They're certainly not enough to make me dislike the MINI, just annoying, none-the-less.

And finally, the mesh sunshade; just doesn't work in hot climates! With so many choices, why can't MINI give us one more, solid or mesh sun-roof screen?!

Wish I'd started out with a clear bra. Never thought I'd say that, but the winter roads in these parts are just so flippin' tough on the bumper cover and bonnet...

[Oh, and a non-spewing motor mount design would be nice too. ]

Meh, the dealer's already replaced my '06 motor mount, they said there was a new design so we'll see if this one goes... +1000 on the clear bra too. The throttle is touchy but you get sort of used to it.
