Any younger MINI Drivers out there?
19 here. I've been driving the MINI since I was 15 - I suprised both of my parents by hopping in the car and proceeding to drive a manual without any lessons, coaching, teaching, nothing. Just did MOTD '09, and I've never had so much fun!
I bought my coop when I was 16, sold it when I was 17 and got a z3 roadster, sold that for a c3 vett later that year. I regret all of the sales. Wish I still had my coop. Ill be getting back into either an e36 m3 or coop. e36s are riddled with problem so leaning twards a coop. Im 18 and in the corps now.
I'm 17 and I'm getting a 2002 MCS with 100k miles for $7k in the next week or so, first order of business is rebuild the S/C, then all new bushings.
Car info;
Dark Silver, White Roof.
S Lite wheels (Unfortunately)

I'm 21. I got my Cooper February 08. It's about to run out of the magic BMW warranty. It's due for a head swap in the next year or so hopefully with a Jan tune... along with a Sport Suspension Plus upgrade. Already added the Mini Mania Cat back exhaust.
O crap im not the only one lol
16 had it since i was 15 too.

Ryon I win.
I'm 18 and still have not gotten my license yet due to taking my permit test the summer after junior year and never taking drivers ed...my dad refused to wait in the waiting room for me to get a permit.
The last 6 weeks I've failed two road tests. First one the tester turned off my defroster mid-parking so I couldn't see, then proceeded to tell me that I wasn't using my directional when I was. Second time (yesterday) The tester (different guy) told me that I wasn't yielding to right-of-way because while waiting for a moron lady in a minivan to make her left in front of me I was looking around another car because I could not see into the left lane. She had the right-of-way and should have gone 30 sec before that but it's apparently my fault for not staring at her until she did.
Worst part is I can actually drive. My dad has been a personal driver for multiple people for 30+ years and tells me I parallel park better than he does and with the exception of not being the perfect driver as far as awareness goes I'm a great driver. I think a lot of driving is more experience that anything.
That being said when I do pass on the 15th of June I will be ordering a BRG R56 with Automatic Trans, high-def stereo, sport package, and keyless start. In the 6 weeks until it arrives I'll be driving a rusted 1989 Buick (the definition of badass) haha.
The automatic is a bummer but I'm using money that my mom left me when she passed away and the people controlling my trust fund have decided that I can't drive a stick. W/e, when I turn 22 i'll probably buy a new Mini and give the auto to my girlfriend...or maybe I'll buy me a 51-2 Ford F100 to rebuild
