I got the envelope in the mail today and it felt very light. That's because the envelope was empty! No medallion, just a nice padded envelope!

Do you think the envelope is collectible?

I sent MINI an email asking if they'll send me a new envelope AND medallion.

 

Although that is very disappointing, you must admit, it is kinda funny. Goodluck with receiving your replacement envelope, stuffed with a medallion.

Or...you could always ask TWISTER to send you one of his 4!

 

Is everyone just hanging it with the included chain? I am worried about it scratching up the back of my mirror so I have mine currently looped around my shifter.

Mine is hanging from the mirror for now... might use it as a keychain - during our last club run ( over the weekend ) it was doing complete loops around the mirror on hard turns - very annoying

I was kind of surprised since I only went to the site a few weeks ago. I guess they did a mass mailing up to a certain date of received VINS

Ok, maybe this is a stupid question, but how do you even hang this thing from your mirror?! Does the chain pop out somehow so you can hook it over the mirror??

there should be a point where the beads on the chain are connected by a longer looking bead, you have to pop the smaller bead out, then just pop it back in to replace it

 

Still awaiting my medallian (and my Motorby keyfob). In the meantime, I was able to use my red decoder glasses from the black box kit last night to read the new ad in Autoweek. It's nice to see that this campaign is not over yet. Yippee!
