Just got mine in tonight. It's hanging on the rearview mirror now. Kinda strange having it swing from the mirror, but I think I can get used to it. Looks kind of neat hanging there.

As a side note, my blackbox kit arrived last week. Pretty nifty!

 

I'm actually getting used to it swinging from the mirror. I kinda like having it there.

The only thing is, the graphic on it really doesn't mean too much to me. I'd love to get someone to make a medallion with the R53 logo that is in my signature below.

Anyone know who could make one of those? Anyone know if Motoringfile would let me copy that?

 

Try to find a grill badge vendor to see if they could make one, but then you'd have to figure out how to hang it...

 

^^ yeah, i was thinking I would just have them copy the medallion that MINI sent out and just swap out the chain. same size and everything.

I have a question about the last site. I entered my VIN but nothing happened. It just went right back to the main screen. Do you think it will still send me the medallion? Or am I too late?

 

I can't remember what happened, but that sounds about right. When my medallion arrived in the mail, I thought: "wait, I don't even remember ordering this!" So it must have been pretty anti-climactic on the website.

you could always try again and it may tell you that you've already ordered one for your VIN

 

After entering your VIN there should have been another pop-up where you enter your mailing information. Without entering that, MINI dosn't know where to send it. So I would try again if I were you.

Sounds like you might have made an error with the VIN. I know it took me 2 attepts for mine to go through; It's rather particular when it comes to Case/case.

 

Ok, I tried it on my computer at work and it took me to the screen that you can enter your address. It must have just been a problem with my browser at home. Thanks everyone!

Heh - I'm pretty sure the medallion is the end of the campaign... we've used each of the decoder tools once already.

Of course, it'd be really nice if they continued the campaign... but I doubt it.

did you guys know that you can receive extra duplicates of the prizes? just enter your VIN again at those sites. i already got 3 panel covers and 2 medallions.

I think we received a decoder plastic thing to look at the encrypted ads with, but I do not have it with me at work.

 

I got my MINI about 6 wks ago, and just got my black box of goodies in the mail yesterday... does this mean they've started all over again with the campaign, or is it just that they had a few more lying around? They also sent it to my husband -- no clue why, as I'm the owner. Any ideas?
