Software to obsessively track your Mini?

In another thread Tarzan mentioned a program called Automotive Wolf to track all of the details about your car's history, maintenance schedules, etc

This sort of thing would be perfect for my Mini obsession so I thought I would ask if anyone else has used it or has any other recommendations before I purchase it. The more detailed, obsessive tracking software the better!

In particular, has anyone found any similar software for the Mac? I'm not finding much on www.versiontracker.com

I hate to resurrect a long-dead thread, but does anyone know if there's a Mac equivalent to Automotive Wolf these days? (Seems like this would be a great iPhone or iPad app, too....)

We just do an Excel spreadsheet, naming the price paid for items, what we did and how long it took us, and any problems we ran into.

It works out great and it is virtually free. Just an idea.

Fair enough, but Automotive Wolf -- for example -- has a nice reminder feature that could be quite useful!

Absolutely. Maybe set reminders in your phone, use what you have and save the $50 for an upgrade.

That's why I use Excel. I would rather spend money on the car improving it than paying for a program to track things.

Good luck either way. I'm sure there is a program out there to do what you want it to do.

I like Gas Cubby as an iPhone app. It records fill-ups and maintenance and does some nice statistics and graphs, as well as giving reminders for maintenance events.

For a desktop application, I still haven't found anything I've liked better than "Road Scholar", but that's a 20+ year-old program that was abandoned early on and rendered useless by y2k.

MAC?! MAC?!

It may be an old thread, but this is new to me and very cool Had I seen this before, I would have that answer for ya.

And it would be a terrific app for the Iphone. Pete put the Dynoliscous Program in his and we have yet to get that one going......
