OK we all own MINIs but what's your second car?
Man there are some nice looking vehicles here folks, I don't know how you decide what to drive. Here's my favorite other vehicle, but like the MINI, I only get to use it about 7 months a year at the most.....I need to move to Florida. Then my truck, I have to have a Dodge of some sort or I just don't feel right
Then we have the family hauler, a Chrysler Pacifica

LMAO, see (if you look at my comment above) that's why I need to move to Florida.........year round driving in the convertible. I could handle that
Absolutely! But... southern California is even better. Miami gets torrential thunderstorms several times a week during the summer and the temps can reach the 90s at times with high humidity which combined make for a very uncomfortable ride. Doesn't bother me too much but some of my passengers can't stand it.
Socal, especially around San Diego is in the 60s and 70s most of the year and it almost never rains.
Our other car is a 4WD 2004 Honda CRV. Great, reliable car and we can put the canoe on the roof!
I have a space blue 2006 MINI i am trading in for the countryman, eagerly awaiting the delivery.
my husband has a British racing green 2009 mini cooper. (this is his second MINI) We have an old toyota pick up truck we keep for those odd occasions when we have to move something bigger than will fit into a mini hatch back, or to drive while one of our preferred cars in getting inspected, etc.

Now, my two college aged daughters (22 & 24) say they will learn to drive the MINI. Go figure!
LOL! My wife is a veterinarian, and I have told her that anyone who can tie a one handed suture can certainly manage a stick! She had bad experiences as a teen being taught by her brother, so she says she won't. Had an Acura Integra GS-R for 7 years and she never tried it...

Both my wife and me are dead set against SUVs and we were shopping around for a CUV. The options were the Volvo XC70, Toyota Venza, BMW 5 Series wagon (used) and the Crosstour. Volvo went out of the list when sold to the Chinese, Toyota due to their quality fiasco (big at the time), the Beemer turned out to be very expensive even when compared to a fully loaded Crosstour.
We have had the car for almost a year and we absolutely love it. Since it is slightly taller than a sedan, getting in and out is very easy for my elderly parents and in-laws, putting our baby in and getting her out is a breeze and the interior is very very spacious. On the highways, I average about 29 - 32mpg. My only complaint (can be big at sometimes) is the boot space. I wish Honda did not have the struts jutting out into the sides, taking up valuable space and preventing flat-loading.
The appearance grates on you initially, but grows on you. I like all the angles except from the back. Off late, we have been seeing a lot more Crosstours on the roads and also a few ZDXs (go figure that out...)

Update to my last post.
Traded in the 2003 LandRover Disco for a 2008 Range Rover Sport Super/Charged.
Now winter is more fun
Our 2nd vehicle - 02' Xterra, ..good for trips to Home depot, ...it is also nice to have for the occasional heavy rain storm/deep water, ...or if we need to drive in an area with really rough/bumby roads...just plows right over potholes..no problem!
..that being said, ...I'd still like to have a 2nd MINI in the garage instead!
We have about 1 more year of payments on the Mini, after that..may use that xterra for trade in to get a 2nd Mini...preferably..a pepper white clubman!!

We were an Audi Family with an A6 quattro for my
wife and an A4 with a 6sp stick for me. We got the MINI R56 with an automatic for our teenage daughter to drive. However, I drive the MINI every chance I get.
I don't know what I will do when she takes the MINI to college. I might have to get a second MINI for me to drive.
