Motor mounts not covered

My MINI is a 2022 hardtop with 29000 miles. I bought it as a CPO with 2900 miles in April 2022. It's a manual.
Last summer and a few months ago, I mentioned that I was getting a little engine shimmy at idle. Particularly noticeable with the AC. They found NOTHING.
now that the car is out of original warranty by two months and into the CPO warranty, they suddenly found that a motor mount needs to be replaced. This is ridiculously expensive. Anyone have any luck contacting Mini USA in a situation like this and getting it covered?
Thanks.
Joseph

Hello, Its up to the local dealership and its case by case. I have been their also on other parts under original car warranty. Sometime they will do what they call a good will replacement and cover it because its so close to the warranty time or date. If you get parts from us at least you can get lifetime replacement on the part.

The problem isn't the part but the labor.

Yes. They called me back a few days later with an attitude and basically told me no they wouldn't cover it. I'm not giving up on this because honestly, I think it's total bullsh*t that a repair this expensive is not covered.

What "good will"? The dealer suggested that I call Mini USA, who basically told me to go ***** myself. Now the dealer has stopped responding.
Outrageous. This is my last MINI.

Yep, that's what the call it and up to the dealer for good will. It depends on the dealer, in the past i have drove 2 hrs to a denied dealer and the other dealer covered it which was 3 hrs away.

Sorry to hear that.

What I was doing was mocking "Goodwill" in this case.

I was about to do exactly what you did when I received an email telling me that they had a meeting with the Mini rep today and they brought this issue up and decided to cover it 100%.
It only took four weeks. I was very concerned about driving and took it very easy.
I'm bringing it in tomorrow morning.

Ask them to check the bottom mount while they have it on the lift.
