Motor Mounts Replaced. Is this typical ?

I brought my 2017 in for an oil change last week, I also asked them to check for a occasional slight vibration. It took a bit longer than I expected and my SA told me that they replaced one of the motor mounts (under warranty, which is ending soon) This is the second time they have done this, though the mount they replaced this time was apparently not the same mount. The SA told me that this was due to the Three-Cyl being very "torque-y". Anyone else have this issue ?

Thanks

Very common. The engine being “torquey” has nothing to do with it. BMW optimizes its engine mounts for comfort rather than long life. You will find discussions of it in the 3rd Gen > Troubleshooting forums.

Glad they found and fixed it under warranty, as they charge an arm and a leg out of warranty. (Which is kind of BS, but… that’s the only part of the dealership that makes any money, so I get why they charge so much. Not that I’m willing to pay it…
