Hello Folks,



I have automatic 05 R53s checkmate edition.



It always gives EP on screen with traction control light on dash. The car doesn't rev up over 3k and no gear changes.



I scanned it using ISTA and it gives a communication error with steering angle sensor.



I went to the bottom of the steering column and to my surprise there is no sensor fitted in place.



I did some research and turned out that my car has ASC + Traction configuration, a model which doesn't have SAS fitted.



These are the the parts and measures I have taken and changed:



1- Changed ABS pump with same part number and specs and programmed it with ISTA P.



2- Changed engine ECU coded abd programmed it with ISTA P.



3- Checked all 4 ABS sensors and reviews their wirings.



4- Reprogrammed and mapped all controls and modules [DME - GW - KOMBI 1/2 - EWS]



Still LWS appears in red on ISTA screen while it should be in grey.



I have been clueless for more than 3 months and ran out of options and would appreciat your help

I am searching to buy a guidance column manage module so I can improve to a MFSW, there are versions with and with out aid for the steering perspective sensor. The module presently have does not have the plug for the guidance perspective sensor and the sensor is bodily not there, I checked. It still indicates inside the experiment and once I attempt to open the module, it says it has hassle connecting to the module which I initially idea to be offline perhaps because of a glitch when leaping the battery or it went terrible.

Hello dear,

After careful review, it turned out that the EWS installed was version 3 while the correct version is 4.xx that caused all this mess.
