VIN DECODER for options

I used bimmer.work but, well, it does not work any more, why? That is what I am looking for. Something that gives you the options the car has, the build sheet.
The only other one that is useful is:

https://minicooperforums.com/forum/vindecoder.php

It does not give you color the car is and some other things bimmer.work did.

Just now tried bimmer.work (my preferred decoder utility) with my own VIN and it worked immediately.
Its been balky at times but still working for me!

Everyone I know who uses it and it just counts down from 14 - 0 and resets again and again....

I just tried it on my M3 and it works for that. I wonder why it (and others) doesn't find some of the VIN's?? Like this one: WMWLV7C0XL2L99752

Agreed on that particular VIN, which is doing same thing for me now on bimmer.work...

Also, I posted a link to a 2006 R53 advertised on CL with VIN provided on the "MINIs for sale on the internet" thread last night. Although bimmer.work "worked", specific details were sadly lacking including build date and full list of options which the mdecoder site did fully provide. From these recent tests, unlikely I'll continue using bimmer.work...

One here is simple:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...vindecoder.php

Also mdecoder works. I have seen it work one most MINIs some newer ones don't show up, like ones just in production.

I can also decode in my system internal if it does not show up.

Make sure the VIN matches the sequence, we get people that send us the VIN all the time and they are mixed up on numbers or a digit off and it will not show up.

Then, most of the time they will take a picture of their VIN and that corrects the problem.

Cool, thanks! I only copy and paste! I have done that too many times!

^^^ IMO, the linked NAM VIN decoder lacks aspects important to me when doing research, i.e., the actual build date and specific factory option codes / description as factory built, which the bimmer.work site did formerly and mdecoder site still does currently.

No dice

Nope.
None of the 3 posted decoder links resulted in detailed, informative info for my pre-facelift 04 R53.
Tried each decoder via 3 browsers (waterfox, firefox and chrome), with both laptop and cel phone. Bimmer.work - balked each time. The other 2wo listed resulted in - generic info for my vin. None listed specifics (related to my vin) for my trim or drivetrain.

Perhaps our older 1st gen (pre 05), are not worthy of recording viable data within their algorithm?

Its a new year and I wanted to ask the same question - is there a comprehensive VIN decoder that works these days?
Mdecoder.com - says I have used up my one per day even though I haven't used it in more than a week. The first time I used it, it gave a very detailed output. But only once or twice.

bimmer.work - didn't work for me - just kept reloading

oemnavigation.com - I reached my free limit and it will no longer decode

The one on this site doesn't give detailed information that the others do.
Thanks

I foresee most of them unable to function very soon. Last time I was on Mdecoder, they were looking for donations and cluttered up results with a massive amount of advertising. I suggest taking a screenshot of your results if you get it to work.

Just tested bimmer.work again. Offline last night with no field to enter VIN search but its working right now, showing all as-built features and options...

I can decode and screen shot it if needed on case by case. If none of those work for you. It tells me the options and type. It does not have the cost of the car/owner and the warranty stuff like MINI dealer has in their system.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...vindecoder.php this works most of the time.

bimmer.work seems to be the best so far.

It also has an image thing with each option too

Keep trying - responded for me normally just now. Still the best decoder out there - when it works...
