I purchased genuine mini VANOS intake solenoid and want to test it.
I want to connect 12v to it and test the valve. Where is the positive and negative pins? Does the dot (see image below) tells the polarity? If yes, what is it?
I measured the resistance between the pins and it says 8.2 ohm. My understanding is that it's in the low range since I read it should be between 8-11 ohm. Should I consider that ok or request a replacement?
