Wow. I mean. WOW. how darn expensive these are now, it is a bit wacky!

Island Blue metallic with Chili red roof and mirror caps
Iconic trim
manual gearbox
17" JCW black wheels
Mini Lounge leather
panoramic sunroof delete
heated steering wheel
Summer tires
- I also ordered a few fun accessories, but also the Black waistline. that is $675 dollars. Jeez. Im on the fence about that. i dont know if the chrome looks just as good. I dont know if the black is more prone to being beaten up by snow and ice. Chrome plating normally is pretty tough if maintained with a spot of metal wax. hm.

anyways... I am excited for the build!!!!

I am on my 5th MINI, an'08 S, a "12S, a '15F56S, a '19 JCW, and now a '22 JCW Iconic Hardtop. After 22,000 miles it has been a great car. I know you're a manual guy, but the 8sp has been flawless . I drive the car in normal mode, manual shift 100% . I have no regrets about my car, including what I paid for it. The difference between an old R56S and my '22 JCW is giant. The body is much more solid and the handling(especially with the new non-adjustable DDC suspension) is such an improvement in ride and handling. And the JCW engine with the 8sp is a great match. 2nd -6th gear are nice and close, with 7th and 8th being great cruising gears for optimizing fuel economy.

The new DDC suspension, standard on an Iconic JCW, has shock absorbers that self adjust. There is no adjustment done by the driver like the previous DDC. Corvettes have a similar shock absorber. The effectiveness of the new shocks has allowed the JCW to be equipped with stiffer springs with no loss in ride quality. After owning four earlier MINIs including a '19JCW, I can attest to the effectiveness of this great suspension.

You should be excited. You'll love the car. I have a 2023 Island Blue MINI JCW, 2-door hatchback with a 6-speed manual. Has a sunroof -- bought the car (new) off the lot (in Loveland CO). Got a discount of just over $2200 so car cost me around $40,000.

Have just over 5000 miles on the car -- since Feb 27 -- and like the car more and more every day.

oh man that is awesome. I got $0 discount thus far. I mean, I should be getting at least $1000 off on it. It is a freakin ordered car, it requires $0 of their investment and buying.
