I have a 2005 Mini Cooper Petrol. The car suddenly won't turn over. I have checked and i am not getting any voltage at the solenoid, if i connect 12v to it it does turn the engine over. so I am guessing it is either the clutch starter inhibitor switch or the starter relay. I can't find either does anyone have any advice and/or photos to help me please? The other possibility is a faulty ignition switch but can't find the wiring diagram for it, can anyone help please?

Does anyone know where the clutch starter inhibitor switch is, it isn't on the side of the clutch master cylinder. That is the only place i can see it in the diagrams etc.

I think a bad crank position sensor can also cause a no-crank condition. Do you have access to a scan tool to see what error codes are present?
