Manual Transmission "Growl"

I got my 2022 S Hardtop in 4/22. It had 3000 miles and was CPO. I noticed that when depressing the clutch between 1-2 and to a lesser extent 2-3, I heard a low, short "growl". I brought the car in for service a week later and they decided that the "throw out bearing" should be replaced. 1 week without my new car (torture) and I finally got it back. The sound was still there. Just as I noticed this, the shift became loose and floppy. I could only get it into 3-4 (I believe). drove it back to the dealer and they told me what I already knew: one of the shift linkage cable detached. THEIR *****-up. They put me in another loaner and had my car for 5 more days.^ months later, It is now October, the growl is still there (not any louder) and I am being told that there is nothing wrong with the car. Any ideas or similar experiences? (I've thought of bringing it to another dealership) Otherwise, LOVE it.

Thanks,
Joseph

Might be as easy as changing or adding fluid to it. When I swapped my clutch a few months back I had some similar noises in the lower RPMs and it ended up being low fluid.

One would *hope* that the dealer checked the transmission oil.

Yes, exactly what I thought. Could they be that careless?

YES. I had my clutch replaced at a MINI/BMW specialist garage.
At the time; for 3 years, after clutch replacement, I only lived 1mi from work (@35mph SL),so my Mini hardly ever had to get out of 3rd gear.
A year or so afterwards - when I moved 15mi from my job, I commuted 12mi on the expressway and had begun to notice that after running high rpms at high speeds, it became difficult to shift - up or down into any gear.
I subsequently prepared to do a transmission oil change and found that the bone-head mechanic only put in 1/2qt!!!! The transmission requires 2qts.
So - yes there are some "professionals" who can make the stupidest mistakes.

Considering that they sent me out with bad shift linkage, I shouldn’t be surprised.
