Emergency Service Experience

Going to be doing a bit of traveling and wondered if people would share their experiences dealing with North American Mini Emergency Road Service. I have the number programmed into my phone and have checked to see if they have my information. Anything special I should be aware of?

I have only used once when my clutch went out on Lucy. They were great to work with. Got a tow truck right out and I rode to the dealer with the truck. It was during working hours and they had notified them I was coming and they already had a loaner prepped to pick up.

my 2 cents

if I was concerned enuf to ask this question I think I'd just go ahead and get AAA

prior post reports good response and taken direct to a dealer ... what about when there is no dealer within hundreds of miles? what if you call and they say it will be 3 hours? now you may get same reply from AAA but if I called MINI and got that answer I'd call AAA and see who wins!!! I've had AAA for years and have only used it a couple of times but they answered the call fast and fixed the problem immediately - or towed - as needed

TRIVIA: when I got my brand new 02S they told me about the MINI roadside assist and gave me a wallet card which on the back said "services provided through AAA of America" .... that is no longer the case however

Just used Mini Emergency Service for a DOA battery covered under warranty (last 4 days) on our 2018 Countryman.
Towing arrangements were prompt & professional. Flatbed transported the car down to nearest dealer (around 40 miles away) and dealer handled the replacement (and last services) that day.
We were given an Uber code to cover transportation down to the dealer to pick up the car however we were also offered by the dealer to have one of their people drive the car up to us.
All this for the tidy sum of $0.00

AAA is great for jump starts and short distance towing however they won't free tow you a long distance to the nearest dealer. Only the Mini service does that.

For future use, we will an extended warranty which includes towing for peace of mind going forward.
