My Stop came loose and the floating side popped up and shifted downwards and interfered with the belt just enough to trigger limp mode, and cause engine to studder and stumble, After AAA towed me home i scanned for codes and i dont remember the code but it was a charge air interruption of .2 sec..... So i immediately went under and inspected belt and tensioner and WhaLaa....... Tensioner stop was dangling in-between the tensioner wheel and the Harmonic Balancer, Stop was creased where it got bent so i removed and hammered it flat and reinstalled, putting Blue locktite on bolted end and a smidge of lithium grease on the floating side to prevent any binding or what ever the hell caused the issue........ things werent loose but bolted end did tighten down some..... I thought i was in for some huge costly repair given how dramatic the failure affected driving conditions, it was following a hard acceleration to pass a lumbering 18 wheeler making a wide left turn and went limp just as i entered a freeway on-ramp......... i was able to pull over and limp it in reverse on the shoulder back off the on-ramp and onto a side street to find AAA was going to be about two hours (new years weekend Sunday) so Netflix on the phone and reclined the seat untill the driver showed.......
So just one of those freak things that could happen to anyone and cause a diagnosis headache untill you know what to look for ........ as she looks today except there are two more rally lights and the wing is now silver
