Is My Fuel Too Old?

Hi, All. I just want some opinions. I last filled our 06 MINI up in June, and I haven't driven it much at all due to a rough year. It's setting at a little less than half a tank, and the gas is 9 months old. My wife thinks I put Stabil in it, but I honestly don't think I did. (I have a log/journal where I keep every fill up, tire rotation, oil change, etc.) I usually write down whether or not I used an additive, and I didn't. Anyway, my assumption is that I didn't put anything in the fuel, so I'm debating on what to do. I could siphon the fuel out and start over, but I'm tempted to just to top it off with new fuel and go for a little road trip and burn the tank off. After that I was thinking I would fill it up with some Techron in it. However, we replaced the engine like six years ago, and that problem was initially caused by clogged injectors. I don't want that to happen again, but it seems like half a tank won't do much damage. Has anyone else used 9-month old gas?

Once you start using the car regularly, you should be fine just filling up with fresh top-grade gas.
I certainly would not use Stabil under any circumstances. A can of injector cleaner might be a good idea.
I haven't refueled since last Christmas!

We have a Countryman that we use as a family car, and I walk to work. As a result, our old MINI, which we bought new, does not get much action. I used to take it for drives, but my job has kept me very busy. Anyway, with summer approaching I'll be driving it more. We love that car! It was the first car I ever bought, and I can't bring myself to get rid of it. We had the engine replaced and the supercharger overhauled in 2015. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

The gas is ethanol-free, so I think it lasts longer as well. I'm thinking it would be okay.
