Made it to 20,000 miles
Made it to 20,000 miles
As I posted in the JCW section -
The odometer in my 2005 JCW finally made it to 20,000 coming down from a short trip in the local canyon this afternoon.
Handles much better with some camber in both ends. I bought adjustable lower arms for the rear and plates for the front after the first trip up the same canyon road. Less than factory setting in the back and more in the front...works much better. Maybe a little more in the front..!?

I think i made to 20,000 in my R52 in the first 9 months
When you can dial things in you can get the most out of the suspension. Good tires help also.

At the rate he's putting miles on, the tires are old dry after 2000 miles!
To make this even better...
I'm the third owner..!
No Andy, the original tires are just fine.
Yea, funny, it had good tires and it's got a new set of Dunlop tires on it.
Actually, it did have the original battery in it. Wouldn't hold a charge very long, but it was the original.

My JCW made it -- or is just short of making it -- to 20K miles. Not quite 2 years old...Front tires nearly down the wear bars. They were holding real well until I discovered Sport Mode. In sport mode the front tires can be spun quite easily. Not only at take off -- which is not a challenge and I feel beneath me -- but underway and giving the engine the whip.
Oh, sorry. 2018. Bought new Dec. 27 2017. Averaging about 10K miles a year. I'd drive the JCW more but I have to drive my Hellcat too, you know.

P.s. - One thing about the canyons now that it handles decent/well, How the hell do you stay in the seat ? The factory seat and belts do nothing.
I don't want to put full harnesses in it, are there bolt-in seats with larger bolsters ?
