MINI cooper BCM
hello guys,

I was wondering, If I replaced my 2007 mini cooper S BCM with used that has the same part number, does it still need to be programmed ?

Its coded to the car, some people get lucky an have the same options, but get lights on the dash. Do you have an R56 or later year R52?

i have R56, If I got lights on the dash it is okay I can turn them off.

It will have those lights until its programmed, i think some people/shops the software to do it. Until its flashed, it will be there with lights.

ok I see, do you think the dealer can program a used BCM?

The MINI dealership only buys new ( ones we sell) and then reprograms them. You will have to find a BMW or MINI independent shop that can do it.
