Auto AC Controls

Couple questions about the Dual Zone Auto AC system in my 2019 Countryman.
The way every other auto ac system has worked in all my previous cars (audi, vw, jeep, toyota), there is always a way to sync the two sides so the driver can control both zones with just the driver side ****.
From my googling, this is not possible???

And then what about fan speed in auto mode?
Normally when I first get in any other car on a hot day, the fan will automatically ramp up to full speed until the car starts to cool off, and the fan speed will then gradually lower itself as the car continues to cool.
Right now, my CM seems to just stay at whatever fan speed its currently set at. Can the fan speed be changed to Auto?

If it helps, I do have the BimmerCode app and OBDII module.

Thanks!

ok, not that anyone seems to care but I figured out the auto fan speed.
When in auto mode, the fan speed setting on the dial is directly proportional to the amount of variation in auto fan speed.
In other words, if you have the fan speed set to low... you will not get much difference when in auto mode.
But as you increase the fan speed setting, the more you increase the variation. So if you have it set to the middle or even higher, you will notice a greater variation in fan speed when it is set to auto.

Now if MINI would just give us the sync option.

When you first get into a hot car, just press the Max A/C button. When it cools down enough, just hit the auto button. No temp sync on the MINI

Yeah i've used max speed. Other cars have that too. But that's separate from the "auto" ac function.
No worries though, I pretty much got it figured out.

That's funny because I had my 2019 JCW three months, then all the sudden and I noticed the auto-mode wouldn't keep up with the cooling needs.. I was bad-mouthing and angry that I needed to take it to the dealer and the fan speed light bar was always on the lowest setting..argh. Then for some reason I noticed I could change it (I must have turned it at some point and not realized it). Then I go to the manual and read that while in Auto, you can change the fan "intensity" setting.

At some point I've got to read instruction once in a while. LOL. Once I figured it out, I really do prefer the option to set the fan intensity separately. I know it's not full automatic per se, but I like it.

That's the thing though... it actually IS fully automatic... with a bonus.
Because in other vehicles you can't change the intensity of the automatic, or the variation of the automatic like you can in the MINI.
Some people don't like that when they first get in the car the vents blow like a jet turbine. So in the MINI you can actually adjust this intensity. The manual is just not clear on this feature.
You had yours set to low so you saw basically no difference in intensity when the system was set to Auto. But the more you turn it up, the more you will see that it will blow harder at first, and then slow down as the car cools.

The problem with the system is that it doesn't make the air colder when it's trying to cool the interior down to a comfortable temp. Also, I think they dropped the ball on the dual zone too. It should have a sync button so you don't have to adjust 2 dials everything you change the temp.
