Replace auto climate controls with manual *****?

I hate the auto controls, and especially the lack of any way to just have the vents open for flow through ventilation at speed w/o fan.

Is it possible to replace the automatic HVAC control panel on the center stack with a manual module (new or used)? Would the BCM need reprogramming somewhere or are the connections on the back of the panel the same or different?

Has anybody already done or attempted this?

It's not a simple drop in installation. You'll need to replace various parts buried deep in the dash (air flap actuators, blower motor FSU, etc.).
I'm not sure about coding any other module, but that would be the easiest part of the job if at all necessary.

You can set a temp with the auto climate control....then turn the fan off...just select the vent you want, and the temp you want...then turn the fan to off....I set mine to "LO" , then turn the fan off, and just let the air blow gently through the vents on some days....crack the sunroof....you will get lots more air...heck..on a slightly cool day...I will set a bit of heat...and shut the fan off...slightly warmed vent air...
