New member, Northern California R56
Hello fellow members. I didn’t see a new member section, so I posted here.
I just bought my first German car, a 2011 R56 with panorama roof, 78k miles, manual trans. I bought If for the gas mileage and because go-cart.
I have debadged the rear and removed some stickers from previous owner, changed the oil. I plan to debadge the front, dechrome with black vinyl ( and possibly vinyl the roof too) and tint the windows with a brow. And there is a roof rack in the mail to transport my fishing pontoon.
So far the car is fun to drive and handles excellently. I like all the gizmos that my old car lacked (2003 Dodge Ram 1500). I just hope BMW doesn’t live up to its poor reliability reputation, because the engine compartment is tiny and parts are expensive.
