Generic jack

I have a 2014 Countryman S with standard tires. I’m looking for a spare tire jack kit but can’t find a used one. Will a generic jack work for me?

Thanks, Jim

Yeah,. You could even likely use any old scissor jack you can find. Most fit the flat pinch-weld type supports our Minis have.

This one would actually probably work really well in a tire-change scenario: https://www.harborfreight.com/1-1-2-...ack-66907.html

(In before everyone shows you super expensive blocks that go on the lift points and $300 aluminum low profile jacks)

Now if you are wanting to get all 4 tires up, that is slightly different, but still can use any floor-style jack.

We have purchased the light weight aluminum racing jacks from Harbor Freight and they never disappoint. Best deal for your $.

Thanks guys, good information. I’ve had decent results dealing with Harbor Freight in the past, so I stopped by there yesterday and picked up a 1.5 scissor jack. Works fine and doesn’t take up too much room. All the best, Jim
