I am a car enthusiast switching car once every 2-3 years, we will get a countryman S or jcw drive both of them for a while, until the thrill is gone, then we will move on to something else.

Planned to keep my 2003 r50 for about 20 years,
but after someone made an illegal left turn right in
front of me 3 months ago, that was no longer feasible.
Now have a 2009 JCW r55 with only 30K miles in
great shape.
Hope to keep it for about 10 years.

I got mine new in 2012 and I'm getting ready to turn over 100,000 miles next week. I generally keep cars for many years and usually get a new one when something happens to the car that makes me feel it's time for a new one...my last car was rear-ended and was never 100 percent after the accident. Nothing has happened to my Mini, so I have no reason to move on. I won't get another Mini, nothing wrong with them but there are a lot of cars out there to enjoy and I've never had two of the same car before.

I tell everyone I know that I’ll die a MINI owner! I’ve had my ‘11 Countryman for 4 years and hope to buy a hardtop soon. 👍🏻

My plan is to keep it as long as they keep letting humans drive.

Probably the same for me. After 8,800 miles, including MTTS 2018, I love this car. Absolutely flawless!
