NGK vs Champion Spark Plugs ??

I am going to replace the spark plugs in my 2013 Cooper S

I was going to buy the NGK 95770 Iridium plugs at $13.99 ea. and I also saw Champion 9409 Iridium plugs for $6.69 ea..............wow, what is the difference ?, are the NGK plugs worth twice as much ??
I also saw a Champion 9412 Iridium for $7.99 ea.

Also, I want to make sure that I have the correct plugs.

Champions are good for lawn mower, not so good for sports car.

When I had an R56 I needed the plugs replaced; MINI of the Main Line put Champions in it. Later I had a local independent look at the engine for a different reason, and he said the same thing: Champions are for lawn mowers.

Get the correct oem plugs as we see problems all the time when you use non oem plugs. We keep them in stock.

I just changed the plugs on my 2016 CMS JCW for "the first time" according to dealer maintenance records and previous owner.
22,500-ish miles. I pulled out 12 point Champion plugs. They do look like they've been in since day 1.
WTF Mini? Or at least Mini Dealership??

On newer MINIs we found that some of the plugs have been switched over to Champion OEM for MINI ( made in france or germany) Looks like they changed suppliers. Beru had some of the OEM contracts.

Reviving a dead thread just to chime in on ECS point. Just replaced original plugs on an R60 and indeed they were Champion, made in France. So you may find an unexpected brand under the hood and it is still original, official MINI.

But yeah, I put in BERU too.

Yep, they changed things on us. MINUI likes to do that.
