Blue Ridge Parkway Tour
Blue Ridge Parkway Tour
If you cannot make MINIs on the Dragon this year, the Tarheel MINI Club has a three day tour of the Blue Ridge Parkway in June. This is great experience with beautiful scenery and for those that like some twisties, there is a separate group for that. This year they start in Virginia and head south to Cherokee, North Carolina.
The thread for the details is below.
And for those that do not know, the Tail of the Dragon is about an hour from Cherokee.

Thanks, WnW!
There are some greats runs all along the Parkway. Pretty sure that Jeff will be leading the "Otter" Group that hits the twisites.
You do not know what a MINI is until you hit some runs like Squirrel Spur or 151 the Pigsah Highway, both of which and many more you will do.
Darn, now I have to go get my bib as I am drooling again . . . . .

Well not Friday but rather today. Just got back, hit two of the runs that I am pretty sure the "Otter Group" will do, both were in Virginia. The North Carolina runs get even better as there is more elevation changes.
If you cannot make MOTD, the BRP Event that TarHeel puts on will give you a good taste. The Dragon is basically flat compared to the runs that Tarheel does on the Blue Ridge. IMO the uphills runs are really good as braking is not that much of a factor.
Tarheel also does a Dragon run in the fall.

Y'all missed a real treat today! It was GORGEOUS in NC/VA! Had the roller's squealin' & a hollarin' for mercy! Lots of nice roads around the Meadows of Dan also.
I figured out what your car sounds like now.....
Something like a 250cc bike!
Got me thinking!
